The 2006 World Poker Tour Championship, the $25,000 final event of the WPT Season 4 happens on April 22-24 at the Bellagio Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

The final event of the season, dubbed as the Championship Event of the Five Star World Poker Classic at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, is set to add another 12 to 15 million dollars to the over $80 million estimated to have been played for in this season of the Tour.

Poker players decided they will not stand down without a fight aginst the ongoing backlash against online gambling. Poker Players Alliance, a non-profit organization developed to protect the game of poker in America, was joined by several poker champions in a roundtable discussion of these events on Wednesday.
